We are pleased to introduce the rollout of our new ‘Digital Download’ service here at the Snellville Church of God website. What are digital downloads? Basically, digital downloads are copies of our sermons (that you would normally get on CD) that are available for download, right from our website. This allows us to offer our sermons at a cheaper rate (no physical media, no shipping costs, etc.) while being able to immediately provide the file for download as soon as payment is done.
What are the key differences between our Audio CDs and Digital Downloads?
| AUDIO CDS |
DIGITAL DOWNLOADS |
- Audio is delivered on a physical compact disc, which can be played in any audio device (such as car stereos, home stereo players, etc.)
- Audio is recorded in uncompressed WAV format and then burned strait to disc.
- Average cost per CD is $5.00 each (with a $5.00 shipping charge per complete order, if requested to be mailed out.)
- Audio CDs can take up to 24 hours to process and ship.
|
- Audio is delivered in MP3 format via an instant download from our website. MP3 can be used in portable audio devices, or converted to an audio CD for playback in regular audio devices.
- Audio is recorded and then compressed to 64kbps (VBR) to optimize quality and file size (quicker downloads.) Approx file size is 17 – 25 MB.
- Average cost per download is $3.00 (No CD = No Shipping Charge.)
- Digital Downloads can be downloaded INSTANTLY after payment. No waiting.
|
Once you order your digital download(s), you will be e-mailed instructions on how to download your files. These files are available for 24 hours and then are removed from the download queue. (It is extremely important that you have a working e-mail address and check your JUNK MAIL folder, in case this e-mail were to be considered ‘spam’ by your mailbox.) It is recommended that you have high-speed internet for digital downloads, as each track could take a few minutes to download, depending on your ISP bandwidth / speed.
We currently offer all of our regular services from 2010 in our store, as well as the 2010 Winter Revival (with Evangelist Scott Crowe) that has been frequently requested. We hope to add more digital downloads (starting with 2009) as we move forward. Be sure to stop by our online store to check out what we have to offer (or) purchase your digital downloads today!

Due to the overwhelming demand of requests to our media department for audio CDs of the 2010 Revival (with Evangelist Scott Crowe), the Snellville Church of God Media department is pleased to announce that starting today, you can order these recordings right off of our website! Usually all of our CD orders take place in the Welcome Center at the church, but we have been working hard to make them available to anyone who wants one.
There are two ways to obtain copies of these services on CD:
- If you visit Snellvile Church of God, you can see a member of our Media Department and place your order. Usually all orders that are placed before the preaching begins for that Sunday are ready to go by the time we dismiss service. (Note: We do NOT process any orders until payment is received.)
- You can now order CDs online by visiting our 2010 Revival CD Catalog page.
Here are some facts that you may not know about our Audio CDs:
- All CDs contain just the preaching / spoken word for that service. Pre & Post sermon activity is not recorded due to time and copyright issues
- All CDs are recorded in WAV format (44.1 kHz – mono) for great audio quality
- We split the recording into 5 minute seamless segments, so you can easily get back to where you were, should you have to take a break
- All of our CDs come with a high quality color label, which is printed on the CD itself. (Not a stick-on)
- We archive our recordings. Currently, was can go as far back as 2005 for certain sermons, if so desired
If you would like to order CD from our 2010 Revival services, just visit our 2010 Revival CD Catalog to select which CDs you would like to order. Ordering is very easy! We use PayPal for our transactions, which means that your transaction is quick, easy, and most of all: secure. If aren’t familiar with how PayPal works, you can learn more about it by visiting the PayPal Website. Keep in mind the following when it comes to ordering:
- You can add as many items to your shopping cart as you want, but each item has to be picked 1 at a time from the webpage.
- We use a flat-rate shipping rate of $5.00 per COMPLETE order. If you order 1 CD, shipping is $5.00. If you order 10 CDs, shipping is still just $5.00.
- Once payment is received, we will ship your order out to you within 1 to 2 business days.
- Make sure you review your order CAREFULLY before submitting it to be processed. Once payment is sent, it cannot be cancelled.
- The ‘price’ on our catalog is for a single item. You can adjust the amount of items in your shopping cart once you add the item.
- All funds from CD purchases go directly to the Snellville Church of God Media Department for future expansion of media projects and improving our current services.
If you have any questions on ordering CDs, please don’t hesitate to contact us using our contact page. We welcome all questions that you may have and hope that we can provide you with the answers that you are looking for. The Snellville Church of God Media Department is thrilled to be able to offer our sermons to not only those that attend our church, but people around the nation! Currently, we only have the 2010 Revival Services available now, but we will be adding all Sunday morning services from 2010 and 2009 here shortly. If you are looking for an earlier service, please be sure to e-mail the media department using the contact form.

During the dismissal of tonight’s revival service, Bishop McGuire addressed the congregation and informed everyone of how we are going to handle the revival services for next week. Bishop McGuire is wanting to make sure that he gets CLEAR direction from God in regards to the continuation of our revival services. Although we have not officially ended or extended our 2010 Revival with Evangelist Scott Crowe into next week, the following schedule WILL take place as of now:
- Sunday, February 14th @ 10: 15 AM
- Sunday, February 14th @ 6:30 PM
After these two services, Bishop McGuire will then inform us as to the direction that God wants us to take in terms of ended or extending our revival services. Please make plans to try to be at these two services next week, as God is moving in a great way. You don’t want to miss what God is doing !

In an effort to make our services more available for OFFLINE replay, we are changing the way that we handle media here on the Snellville Church of God website. The recent improvements to our webcast have allowed us to stream our services with much better clarity and quality, but have sacrificed the ability to archive these services for viewing at a later time. We are currently exploring our options in an effort to help provide access to our live services (with the higher quality) AND the ability to catch these services offline. In the next several days, we will be making the following changes to how we handle media here on the website:
- The Live Webcast link will be removed from our main website. (However, the URL remains the same.) This will be replaced by a ‘media’ link that will appear on our navbar.
- The ‘media’ link will containt access to: Live Webcast, Photo Galleries, and Sermon Archives all in one place.
- The ‘audio archive’ player will no longer be available.
- We will move our future audio recordings to a new hosting site (Under review).
- Recorded services will NOT include any performed music or altar services.
- Previously recorded video services will be deleted. (Except: Revival services)
Our first goal is to get all of our revival services posted in the new archive format, for easier viewing. This will also allow people to scroll back through previously missed services and be able to listen to them. It is unclear how long we will keep these services in an offline format. Until we can come up with a better solution, all offline services archived from this point on will be audio only. (No live video footage recorded.) As always, we appreciate those that continue to support our Live Webcast by tuning in.

Due to our revival services that are taking place, the scheduled Marriage Seminar that was to take place this weekend (Feb 12th – 14th) will be postponed until further notice. This seminar will still be held, but the date and time of this rescheduling is currently being evaluated for a better date.
