We have been experiencing some difficulties with our Live Webcast this past week. We have been working on getting these issues resolved. However, during this process, you may experience some difficulties watching our Live Webcast. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to have these issues taken care of in the near future.

Changes to Broadcast

A quick note: We have made some changes in our Sunday & Wednesday broadcasts. Please be aware that starting on 10/5/08, we will be broadcasting ONLY Bishop’s messages (Sunday) and teachings (Wed. night). There maybe a song included prior to the message beginning, but the beginning portion of our services will not be broadcast, until further notice.

If you bring up the SCoG Webcast page and there is a black box, please be patient, as our broadcast hasn’t started yet. Once we begin broadcasting, you will see an image appear in the box, along with a play button to begin the stream.

We are pleased to announce that starting this week, we will begin testing our new Video Webcasts! Unable to make it to service? Want to check our the church for the first time? You can do so by viewing our services (and possibily special events) right form our website.

There’s no cost or charge.. just check out our Webcast page (located in the media section) and you can tune in right away!

Cell Phone Updates

Another new feature we are happy to introduce is the ability to send Critical Updates to our church members (and non-members) via cellphone! Visit our Critical Updates section of the site and sign up. It’s simple, easy, and free! If something major happens at Snellville Church of God, we want you to be the first to know!

Website Changes

We’ve made some changes to our website that we would like everyone to be aware of:

Our Event Calendar has been replaced with a new and improved calendar!
The Announcement Requests page has been replaced with an Event Request page.
We’ve expanded our Event Request page to include more information, such as starting time and ending times.
You can now directly access our Event Calendar from the home page.

The number of archived news topics on the main page has been adjusted to include the last 5.

Please keep an eye out on our new Event Calendar. It gives you several options that the old calendar did not, including event reminders, the ability to share events, and many printing options. We’ll be updating our calendar with move events as we move forward.

We’ve managed to put up a few new pictures from this past week’s ‘Pastor Appreciation’ service. This year marks the 20th year that Pastor and his family have been ministering here at Snellville Church of God! The day was full of special events from various members of the church.

No Broadcast (Wednesday Night)

Just a reminder to let everyone know that during our ‘Three Chairs’ video series, we will not be doing a live broadcast for our Family Training Hour (Wed. Night) services. Once we conclude our video series, we will resume broadcasting our regular FTH services.

Broadcasting Services Live!

Starting this weekend (06/15/08), the Media Department will be running a ‘live test’ of a new feature on our website. We will start broadcasting our services (from start to finish) LIVE. Those that wish to tune in and listen will be able to click a link here on our website, which will allow listeners that ability to listen to our services live.

On 06/14/08, we will add the broadcasting link to our website. The link will be located on the front page. On 06/15/08, you will then be able to tune in and listen. (Please keep in mind that our live stream will only be in operation during our services.) The stream is broadcast at 24kbps. This rate is the same as our ‘Sermon Audio Player’, which means that dial-up internet users should be able to tune in and listen as well.

We look forward to providing people a chance to experience our services on-line, with the ability to broadcast to anywhere on the internet. Tune in and listen on your PC, mobile device, or any other device that allows you to stream audio!
